TERMINAL SAFETY RULES

1. Upon entering the terminal, all drivers MUST wear a high visibility Safety Vest when in the yard.

2. Drivers MUST remain in their vehicles at all times while in the yard. Exception: Drivers may exit their vehicles when hooking up to a chassis. **ANY DRIVER WALKING THROUGH CONTAINER PILES WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE FACILITY**

3. Drivers may NEVER approach operating equipment under any circumstances, for any reason.

4. No opening container doors within terminal.

5. Speed Limit in the yard is 10 MPH, no exceptions.

6. Drivers MUST come to a COMPLETE STOP at all intersections.

7. Drivers may NEVER crank landing legs down until after the chassis is parked.

8. DO NOT attempt to drive behind yard equipment while the equipment is backing up.

9. Cutting through container piles is PROHIBITED.

10. Yard Equipment has the RIGHT OF WAY at all times.

11. Cell phones or other electronic devices are PROHIBITED while driving.

12. Drivers are required to TURN OFF their engines during the following:

     a. Waiting for service in the Transtainer Rows (Import Delivery)

     b. While parked at the Trouble Window

13. Stay back at least one container length when a Top Handler is in a stacking row retrieving a container. Move forward only after the Top Handler COMPLETELY backs out of the row.

14. Absolutely NO PASSENGERS.

15. Parking a chassis and/or container in any area without a bumper block is PROHIBITED.

16. Drivers MUST WEAR SEATBELTS at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS

As terminal safety is our number one goal, these safety rules are enforced with zero tolerance for non-compliance. 

Failure to comply will result in ticket cancellation and removal from the terminal.
